Espial Literary and Art Journal
English 239 and Art 150, offered spring quarter.
Espial is a literary art journal that is produced each spring by Green River Community College students who enroll in either English 239: Espial Workshop or Art 150: Literary Arts Journal design.
Each spring these two classes work to together to create Espial, a student-centered literary and art journal. Students analyze and select the art submissions, evaluate the written entries, and work in groups on all aspects of production from final selection of entries and layout, to final production and presentation of the journal.
We produce this journal for all those who dare to dream, and have the courage to put those dreams on paper. To the artists, writers, and all those in between, these journals are a celebration of the creatively inclined people who strive to make our world beautiful.
Who can submit: GRCC students, faculty, and staff are invited to submit for each yearly publication. For information on how to submit your work, please see our submissions page.

Our Mission
Creativity can have many forms and is not just something you see, it's something you experience. In our journals we want to give you a sample of some of the art work created at this college. And why would we want to do that? Because art is for everyone.
Join the Team
To become a part of the process, sign up for Espial spring quarter. In the classroom students become computer art designers, photographers, editors, and directors in creating a book that showcases some of the finest work from the writers and artists on campus. Be part of an amazing process that can be carried with you for a lifetime.
Very Special Thanks
The publication of Espial would not be possible without the support and dedication from Mrs. Ruth Fogarty, Student Services, Christie Gilliland, Joyce Hammer, Gary Oliveira and Avis Adams. Thank you for believing in our vision and providing an incredible experience that every Espial class offers.
